Meet your Therapist

I’m Dr. Florencia Rider PT, DPT, OCS, CAFS, CERT DN and I earned my doctorate degree from Midwestern University in 2013 and a board certification in orthopedics in 2016.

After 10 years of working in the traditional outpatient setting, I felt that patients deserve better, higher-quality care. That was when I decided to break out and start an independent practice. Let’s rewind and go back to where the story started. I was one of many female athletes who experienced multiple ACL injuries. These injuries put a damper on my collegiate soccer career, but they were also the driving force that pushed me toward a career as a physical therapist.

As cliché as it sounds, I want patients to become the best version of themselves, whether it’s returning to sports, getting rid of chronic headaches, or being able to play with their kids without pain.

“The dry needling that Flo does helps to either take those headaches completely away or minimizes them so I can function teaching my 2-year-olds.”

“Flo addressed that it was not my elbow causing problems but my neck in the first session. After the first treatment, I was 10X better, and was able to build my strength back.”

“I wouldn’t be where I am now or have gotten through rehab if it wasn’t for you. I have never felt stronger or more confident in my abilities than after working with you.”

“What’s really cool about Flo is that she’s patient, man. She takes the time to listen to our issues, really gets what we’re going through, and then fixes us up proper. She’s got that special touch, you know what I’m saying?

But let me tell you, the vibe at Body Mechanics is on point. It’s all good, uplifting, and welcoming. You walk in there, and you just feel at home, ready to get back on that court.”
